My Rooms Current Condition

Here are a few pictures of my rooms current state. The couch is a fold out, and is on wheels. This actually helps with spacing, although I still have a lot of furniture in a very small space. Over all the room still has abundant potential, which is also my biggest obstacle. So many ideas, and possibilities. There are quite a few limitations though, mainly in the fact that I can't do anything major like painting or reupholstery. Not that I could decently pull of the later of the two anyways. Needless to say no matter what the potential, no matter the limitations. It needs work.......a lot of work.

Before I go any farther I do need to apologize. I said I would have the pictures up the day after my first post, which was about three days ago. I ended up with heavy work schedule that left me struggling to get my regular chores done, let alone work on my blogs. I am still sorry for not meeting that deadline.

On to the more important matter of formulating ideas. I will start with a list of things that I like and see where I go from there. I know that I'm absolutely in love with the Victorian Era, and Steampunk. While I don't have a whole lot of Steampunk items, i do have some things that have that Victorian feel to them. I also like antique items, mirrors, Oriental stuff, Nature, fantasy, travel, art, gadgets, and gizmos. My list go on further but those are the main ones. The things I have to not only have in my room, but have constant access to are: bed, bedding, clothes, bath and body care, accessories, hair care, rabbit, rabbit supplies. The things I would like to have on hand in my room: most recent focal projects, project idea list, writing materials, recent reading material, basic sewing supplies, art supplies, exercise equipment, decorations.
The area by this dresser was being used as a beauty and make up area, but it didn't work too well. I'm thinking of taking down the mirror and using it for my art supplies. I need to hang up that shelf though. Either by hanging it to the wall, or finding a way to attach it to the wood piece that's framing it. I've also considered finding another spot for those pieces, even though there really isn't another place to put them. Another possibility I've been considering is, turning the wood piece into a cabinet that can be attached to the wall. The only problem I have with that last idea is the fact that, attaching it to the wall would probably make it permanent. I really don't like the idea of it being permanently attached to my wall.

The little wooden shelf above the mirror is actually a spice rack. I was thinking that if I don't use it for art supplies that it could perhaps hold some nick nacks and such. It could hold both actually, as it has a small drawer at the very bottom of the rack. I need to come up with a nob for it though, and it could use a good sanding and painting. The stuffed toys won't be staying there either, I completely forgot they were there till after I took the pictures.

I'd go through more but I'm tired and need a rest  from typing, plus it won't let me type around the pictures anymore. I'll maybe add more post about each photo individually, but only in context to something that I am doing in that area. (Like a craft piece or some kind of dramatic change.) I will also give updates on ideas that I get for different things, and areas.

Crazy, crazy, crazy

O.k. so this has been what I would call the week from hell. I'd divulge further except that I'm pretty sure that no one wants to hear me whine about the corner I backed myself into. Well not all of it anyways. Some of it could be interesting as it involves sorting through stuff to create some blog topics. Things like creative ways to decorate, art, photography, poetry, the list could go on and on.

So I'll tell all about the project that I'm working on that brought about the creation of this blog. First things first though, my name is Pandora (Well that's what I want to be called at the moment) and I'm 24. My project is putting my room back together. Doesn't sound so interesting, but I happen to be a very creative person. Instead of giving a boring blow by blow update, I'll update with things like: tips, tricks, fun ideas, and projects. I'll also throw in some random things from time to time (especially if there's nothing to really add other wise.)

That's pretty much it for now, I'll see about adding pics of my rooms current condition sometime tomorrow. It's too dark for my camera to take any good pictures right now. It'll look kind of odd because it is barren as far as style goes, just holding my basic needs for now. Well I'd better get to work on some of those projects.
